Statement of Faith and Beliefs Part 1

International Evangelical Protestant Christian Coalition

Statement of Theological Doctrines, Faith, and Belief’s

(Or, otherwise can be referred to as- “What We Know to be the Ultimate and Absolute Truth.”)

Introduction (Prolegomena)

IEPCC Mission statement is-“We are a Christian ministry that consists of a group of pastors from many nations from around the world who are passionately dedicated and committed to fulfilling the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) and advancing the Kingdom of GOD into enemy territory/behind enemy lines- through preaching, teaching, evangelizing, apologetics (defending the Gospel of Jesus Christ), polemics and missionary work- with the intention, passion, and desire to see lost/dead sinners (people)saved and saved sinners (people)strengthened by meeting both their temporary worldly needs; and as well as, their eternal salvation needs in Jesus Christ.”

Theologically IEPCC adheres and hold’s to the basic fundamental, historical, and traditional doctrines of Christianity going back to the first century with Jesus Christ and the Apostles, as found and contained in GOD’s Word/Holy Scripture (the Holy Bible), in both the O.T. and N.T., and that are laid out, detailed, and described in IEPCC’s Statement of Theological Doctrines, Faith, and Belief’s.

And, also summarized in the Five Solas of the Reformation-

  • Soli Deo Gloria- GOD alone, not king nor pope, to receive the glory He is due in Heaven and on Earth.
  • Sola Christus- Christ alone as mankind’s only mediator, LORD, and King.
  • Sola Gratia- Grace alone as the only hope of salvation and sanctification.
  • Sola Fide- Faith alone as the only means of justification before GOD.
  • Sola Scriptura- The Word of GOD alone, inspired by GOD and directional for our lives, church, and culture.

It is important to note that IEPCC’s Statement of Theological Doctrines, Faith, and Beliefs are non-negotiable, inflexible, unchangeable, fixed, irrefutable, and irreversible.

GOD (Theology Proper)

We affirm, believe, and know to be true (as taught to us in GOD’s Word- the Holy Bible) that there is only one omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, perfectly perfect, infinitely infinite, eternally eternal, self-sustaining, uncreated, non-evolving, unchangeable, immutable, supernatural, metaphysical, spiritually transcendent, holy, righteous invisible GOD- the Creator of and Ruler over the universe and everything in it- who manifests Himself in the three persons (Trinity) of GOD the Father, GOD the Son Jesus Christ, and the GOD Holy Spirit; but yet, who are all one in being and essence.

Scripture support verses- Genesis chapter 1:1-31, 1:26-28; Exodus 3:14, 6:1-3; Deuteronomy 6:4; Psalms 19:1, 139:1-24, 147:4-5; Proverbs 19:21; Isaiah 43:3, 43:15, 45:18; Jeremiah 10:10, 32:17, 51:15; Daniel 2:20-22, 4:34-35; Matthew 28:19; John 14:26, 15:26; Romans 8:28; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Galatians 4:4-6; 1 Timothy 1:17; 1 John 4:13-14; Revelation 22:13.

We believe in and teach the following Christian creeds that support and expound upon the triune nature of GOD-

  • The Apostles Creed
  • The Nicene Creed
  • The Athanasian Creed
  • The Chalcedonian Definition of Faith

GOD the Father (Paterology)

We affirm, believe, and know to be true (as taught to us in GOD’s Word- the Holy Bible) that GOD as Father providentially governs, rules, and reigns sovereign over and within His created universe, creatures, and the history of mankind according to His purposes, in order to ultimately bring Him the glory and praise for which and why He created the universe and everything in it.

Though GOD’s Word clearly teaches us that GOD is a supernatural, metaphysical spiritual being (John 4:24) and not a natural, biological physical being with male or female genes, chromosomes, and/or sexual reproductive organs; nevertheless, GOD’s Word clearly, consistently, and constantly teaches us that GOD is to be addressed and referred to in the masculine form or language. Both in proper/formal nouns, informal nouns, and pronouns.

Whenever the Old Testament (O.T.) writers and prophets, and Jesus Christ and the New Testament (N.T.) Apostles, address GOD it is always in the masculine as Father and never in the feminine as mother nor a combination of Father and mother.

So therefore, it should go without saying that GOD is always our Father and never our mother.

Unfortunately, we must state this because there are many heretics and enemies, both within and outside of the church, that are under the influence of 19th century German liberal theology, and/or the devil’s manipulative and deceptive influence, and therefore because of this they inaccurately and falsely think, believe, preach, and teach that GOD is perfectly fine with being addressed and referred to, and known and call by, either Father or mother. With no care, concern, or preference for either parental title given to Him.

GOD’s Word, as previously stated, clearly rejects and refutes this idea and notion.

2 Timothy 3:16 a teaches us that- “All Scripture is inspired by GOD or GOD breathed.”

Since all Scripture (both O.T. and N.T.) is the inerrant, infallible, authoritative, eternal, inspired Words of GOD, and both O.T. and N.T. Scripture refers to GOD as Father, then it is quite obvious and clear that we GOD created human beings are to always refer to GOD as Father as well.

Scripture support verses-Deuteronomy 32:6; 1 Chronicles 29:10; Isaiah64:8; Jeremiah 31:9; Malachi 2:10; Matthew 6:9, 7:11, 11:27, 16:27, 23:9, 28:19; John5:26, 10:30, 10:38, 12:49-50, 14:5-13, 15:26; 17:1-26; Acts 1:7; Romans 8:15; 1 Corinthians 8:6; Galatians 4:4-7; Ephesians 4:6; Col. 1:2-4; Hebrews 12:9; 1 Peter 1:17; 1 John 4:13-14.

GOD the Son (Christology)

We affirm, believe, and know to be true (as taught to us in GOD’s Word- the Holy Bible) that Jesus Christ is the eternal, incarnate Son of GOD/Man who took on human flesh, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, and was born a virgin birth through the woman Mary. He lived a perfect life without sin and perfectly obeyed the will and moral laws and commandments of GOD the Father, though He endured the common infirmities and temptations of human life.

He died on a Roman cross on the hill of Calvary in the first century A.D. and three days later was resurrected from the dead.

His life was meant to be lived in order to-

  • Glorify GOD the Father.
  • Testify to GOD’s existence.
  • Teach people about the character, nature, and attributes of GOD.
  • Witness the Gospel to GOD’s chosen people the Jews.
  • Mentor/disciple the twelve disciples.
  • Commission the disciples to take and witness the Gospel to the Gentiles.
  • And, to ultimately die on the Roman cross as an atonement/propitiation for mankind’s sins, in order to appease GOD’s wrath and provide a way out from underneath, and eternal salvation from, GOD’s judgment that damns and condemns all of mankind to spend eternity separated from GOD and His love in the eternal pit of Hell.

This eternal salvation is exclusively only for those who acknowledge their sins, ask for forgiveness for their sins, and with a repentant heart for their sins acknowledge/confess and place their faith in Jesus Christ as their LORD and Savior.

Without the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ there can be no Christian faith/religion. Our entire Christian faith/religion rests upon Jesus Christ resurrection from the dead. It is in, through, by, and from His bodily resurrection from the dead that for those who repent of their sins and place their faith in Jesus Christ they are spiritually born again and resurrected from their eternal spiritual death in sin.

Scripture support verses- Genesis 3:15; Psalms 2:7; 110:1; Isaiah 7:14, 53:1-12; Matthew 1:18-23, 3:17, 11:27, 16:16, 16:27, 17:5, 28:1-6; John 1:1-18, 3:16-18,10:30, 10:38, 11:25-27, 12:44-50, 14:5-13,17:1-5, 20:1-31; Romans 1:2-4; 5:6- 21; 8:1-3; Galatians 4:4-7; Colossians 1:3-22; 2:9; 1 Timothy 2:5-6; 3:16; Hebrews 1:1-5; 4:14; 7:14-28; 9:12-15, 13:8; 1 Peter 2:21-25; 3:22; 1 John 4:14-15; Revelation 1:12-18; 5:9-14; 22:13.

GOD the Holy Spirit (Pneumatology)

We affirm, believe, and know to be true (as taught to us in GOD’s Word- the Holy Bible) that the Holy Spirit is-

  • The divine, eternal Spirit of GOD.
  • The third person of the Trinity.
  • And is given to mankind as the Comforter and Agent to indwell within every child of GOD (who has been eternally saved through faith in Jesus Christ and His atoning work on the cross) for the purposes of-

    1. Convicting mankind of our sinful nature.
    2. Regenerating the souls of GOD’s elect.
    3. Baptizing every believer into the Body of Christ.
    4. Sanctification and cultivating Christian character.
    5. Bestowing the spiritual gifts on to every believer by which they serve GOD through His church.
    6. Leading and guiding the decisions and choices of those who have been saved.
    7. And revealing and illuminating the theological doctrines, teachings, and wisdom found and contained within GOD’s Word.

Scripture support verses- Genesis 1:2,1:26; Judges 14:6; Psalms 51:11, 139:7; Isaiah 61:1; Joel 2:28-29; Matthew 1:18, 3:16; 4:1, 12:28-32, 28:19; John 4:24, 14:16-17, 14:26, 15:26, 16:7-15; Acts 1:8, 2:1-4, 2:38, 4:31, 5:3, 7:55; 8:17, 8:39, 10:44, 13:2, 15:8, 15:28, 16:6, 19:1-6; Romans 8:9-16, 8:26-27; 1 Corinthians 2:10-14; 3:16; 12:3-11, 12:13; Galatians 4:6; Ephesians 1:13-14; 4:30; 1 Timothy 3:16, 4:1; 2 Timothy 1:14; 3:16; Hebrews 9:14; 2 Peter 1:21; 1 John 4:2; 4:13-14, 5:6-7; Revelation 1:10, 22:17.

GOD’S Word/Holy Scripture (Bibliology)

We believe, affirm, and teach that the Holy Bible, containing sixty-six books and letters that make up both the Old and New Testaments, is solely and exclusively the inerrant, infallible, inspired, authoritative, eternal Word of GOD.

It was given to mankind in, through, by, and from GOD’s predestined chosen human authors who were under GOD’s providential sovereign supervision, direction, and control. It cannot be added to, subtracted from, and/or superseded in any shape, form, manner, or fashion. To do so would render GOD’s condemnation, judgment, and wrath.

IEPCC’s hermeneutic is the literal, grammatical-historical interpretation of Scripture.

Ten Purposes for GOD’s Word

  1. It teaches us about GOD and His character, nature, and attributes.
  2. It gives us GOD's plan of salvation in, through, by, and from Jesus Christ.
  3. It is a history book that teaches us about the Old Testament Jews, the life and ministry of Jesus Christ and His apostles, and the first century New Testament Christian church.
  4. It is a book of prophecy about Jesus Christ and His second coming when He will judge all of mankind for our sins against GOD and His laws, commands, and precepts.
  5. It is the standard by which every human being will be judged by GOD for what we did and/or did not do with our GOD-given/created lives here on Earth. What we did and/or did not do with our GOD-given time, money, talents, resources, energy, and opportunities here on Earth. And, whether or not we repented of our sins and acknowledged/confessed and placed our faith in Jesus Christ as our LORD and Savior.
  6. It is our compass that teaches us about and guides us in Biblical morals and ethics in order to leads us to Christ-like holiness, righteousness, and piousness.
  7. It is our road map and instruction manual on how to successfully and effectively live out our Christian faith, and govern the church, in a world that is hostile towards GOD, His people, and church.
  8. It is our weapon/sword in our spiritual warfare against Satan and his demons.
  9. It is our spiritual food, or the well and source from which we are to draw from, that helps us plod and persevere in the very difficult, tough, and dry seasons in our Christian faith when we just want to be lazy and fall back into our previous sinful lifestyles.
  10. It gives us the answers to the five BIG questions that every worldview belief system religion attempts to answer, which are-

     a. The origin of our existence/where do we come from. Genesis chapters 1 and 2 answers this question for us.
    b. The overall meaning and purpose of our lives and human existence. 1 Chronicles 16:23-31, Psalms 99 and Romans 12:1-2 gives us the answers to this question.
    c. The question of evil/Morality and ethics. Genesis chapter 3, the book of Deuteronomy, and Matthew chapters 5, 6, and 7 answers this questions for us.
    d. What is our individual destiny or design. Romans 12:4-8 and 1 Corinthians chapter 12 gives us the answers to this question.
    e. And, what happens to me when I die? Is there an afterlife? Is there a Heaven and/or Hell? And, if so, where do I go and why based upon how I have lived out my life? Matthew chapters 13, 24, and 25, Luke 16:19-31, and the book of Revelations teaches us about this.

The 12 benefits we receive from reading and studying GOD's Word

  1. The ability to further know and understand GOD and His character, nature, and attributes
  2. Eternal Salvation
  3. Teaching and instruction
  4. Joy and peace in our life, faith, and walk with GOD/Jesus Christ
  5. Strength, comfort, and courage in times of sorrow and trouble
  6. Wisdom to live out and guide our steps in life
  7. Answers to the 5 BIG questions in life
  8. Conviction. To convict us of our sins, so that we may repent of them before we re lea too far astray onto the path of destruction. And its painful and negative repercussions and consequences
  9. Spiritual growth, maturity, and nourishment
  10. Protection from the devil and the spiritual forces of evil
  11.  Opens the door to GOD's blessings in/for our lives
  12.  To remind us of how much GOD loves us no matter how much we may struggle in our sins and how much we fail to love Him back as much as He loves us first

As Christians/Disciples of Jesus Christ we are called by GOD to diligently, faithfully, and obediently read and study His Word, both individually and corporately in our local church families, for the following seven reasons and purposes-

1. To get and have a better knowledge and understanding of who GOD is and His character, nature, and attributes.

2. To go and grow deeper and stronger in our personal loving relationship with/to GOD.

3. To better diligently, faithfully, and obediently model and live out our Christian faith in our non Christian secular world/society that is overly hostile to GOD, His Word, and our Christian faith.

4. So, that we can accurately, correctly, and properly preach and teach GOD’s Word to both new/immature believers who need to grow stronger in their Christian faith and non believers who need to come the true knowledge of GOD’s Word and repent of their sins and have a saving faith in Jesus Christ.

5. So, that we can better defend GOD’s Word, with Christian apologetics, against the onslaughts and attacks from apostates, heretics and the many other various pagan non-believers who are living under the demonic influence of Satan and his deceptive lies.

6. To help us better govern our local churches, so that we become spiritually healthy and mature Christian churches.

7. To helps us go and grow stronger and deeper in our personal loving relationship with our fellow Christian brothers and sisters both inside and outside of the four walls of our local churches.

The Gospel (Euangelion)

We affirm, believe, and know to be true (as taught to us in GOD’s Word- the Holy Bible) that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the “Good News” given to us by and from GOD’s grace, that GOD (the Creator of the universe and everything in it) through the second person of the trinity the son- the Trinity being Father, Son, and Holy Spirit- took on human flesh, being born of the virgin Mary, and became the GOD-man Jesus Christ in order to-

  • Live, suffer, and die.
  • Shedding His blood by crucifixion on a Roman cross two thousand years ago on the Hill of Calvary.
  • As an atonement and propitiation for mankind’s sins against GOD, and His moral laws/commandments that are found and contained with GOD’s Word.
  • And, then three days later was resurrected from the dead.

Now it is very important to note that Jesus Christ’s death the cross for mankind’s sins is NOT an instantaneous and automatic universal atonement that blankets and covers all of mankind. Nor does it apply directly to every human being, regardless of what they theologically think and believe and/or do not think and believe about GOD.

Nor did Jesus Christ die on the cross to make us happy, healthy, wealthy, and wise.

Though being and becoming happy, healthy, wealthy, and wise may be secondary benefits to your salvation.

But rather, Jesus Christ did this so that for those who by GOD’s grace-

  • Have heard the Gospel preached and proclaimed.
  • Are convicted of their sins by the Holy Spirit
  • Acknowledge and confess their sins.
  • Ask GOD for forgiveness for their sins.
  • And, then with a repentant heart and mind acknowledge and confess, and a place their faith in, Jesus Christ as their LORD and Savior.
  • They may become spiritually born again, and come out from underneath, and eternally saved from, GOD’s judgment and wrath that damns and condemns all mankind to spend eternity separated from GOD and His love in the eternal pit of Hell.

This eternal salvation is given to us exclusively by GOD’s grace and mercy, through Jesus Christs works, His works being His death on the cross by crucifixion, and not by any type/kind of man produced and/or engineered good deeds, works, and/or acts.

If you do not have eternal salvation and are ready to receive GOD’s free gift of grace and place your faith in Jesus Christ as your LORD and Savior then just pray this prayer out loud to GOD-

“Dear Holy Father in Heaven, all glory be to Your name. I come before You today a sinful and broken person (man/woman). I acknowledge that I have sinned against You, I ask for forgiveness for my sins, and right now I want to fully repent of my sins and ask for the shed blood of Christ Jesus to wash over and cleanse me of my sins, and acknowledge, confess, and place my faith in You Jesus Christ to be my LORD and Savior.

GOD I know that You are a kind, just, holy, and loving GOD, and I humbly ask that you cover me, cloth me, and fill me with your Holy Spirit, and transform me into a new person by giving me eternal life and salvation and writing my name into Your eternal Book of Life.”

I pray this in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Scripture support verses- Genesis 3:15; Isaiah 53:1-12; Matthew 24:14, Mark 1:1-3, 13:10; Luke 9:6; John 3:16-21; Acts 20:24; Romans 1:1, 1:16, 5:8-9, 10:8-17, 15:15-21; 1 Corinthians 9:16, 15:1-11; Galatians 1:8-9.

Statement of Faith and Beliefs Part 2

International Evangelical Protestant Christian Coalition

Statement of Theological Doctrines, Faith, and Belief’s

(Or, otherwise can be referred to as- “What We Know to be the Ultimate and Absolute Truth.”)

Salvation (Soteriology)

We affirm, believe, and know to be true (as taught to us in GOD’s Word- the Holy Bible) that salvation starts first and foremost with GOD’s grace, and providential sovereign will, when He eternally chose (from all eternity and before the creation of mankind) to provide an atonement/propitiation for mankind’s sins by taking on human flesh, being born of the virgin Mary, and becoming the GOD-man Jesus Christ (the second person of the Trinity- Father, Son, Holy Spirit and also known and referred to as the Son of GOD/Son of Man), and dying on a Roman cross two thousand years ago on the Hill of Calvary as an atonement/propitiation for mankind’s sins against GOD and His moral laws and commandments as found and contained within GOD’s Word that is made up of 66 books  and letters and is divided into the two covenants of the Old Testament and New Testaments.

It is only then by GOD’s grace that someone-

  • Hears the Gospel of Jesus Christ and/or reads GOD’s Word (as previously defined) preached and proclaimed (whether by human words and/or read in, through, by, and from GOD’s Word- the Holy Bible).
  • Is convicted by the Holy Spirit of their eternal spiritual death in sin.
  • Feels guilt, regret, and remorse for their sins.
  • Acknowledges and confesses their sins.
  • Asked GOD for forgiveness of their sins.
  • And, then with a repentant heart/mind acknowledges and confesses, and places their faith in, Jesus Christ as their LORD and Savior.

It is at this moment in time they are then eternally and spiritually saved from GOD’s judgment and wrath that damns and condemns all mankind to spend eternity separated from Him and His love in the eternal pit of Hell.

We affirm, believe, and know to be true that GOD’s Word clearly and plainly teaches that once a person is saved, they cannot lose their salvation. But GOD’s Word also teaches us that there are false salvation's that appear to be true salvations. It is in these false salvation’s that some Christians believe that salvation can be lost. This is a false/inaccurate teaching. Once saved always saved.

We affirm, believe, and know to be true that GOD (based upon His providential sovereign will) knows, understands, discerns, and preordains those who have a true saving faith from those who have a false faith.

Scripture support verses- Isaiah 45:21-22; John 3:16-18; Acts 4:10-12; Romans 4:1-5, 10:9-13; Galatians 2:15-16; Ephesians 1:13-14, 2:1-9.

Church (Ecclesiology)

We affirm, believe, and know to be true (as taught to us in GOD’s Word- the Holy Bible) that the Christian church (also known as/referred to the Body or Bride of Christ) is the universal/global body of believers/Christians that meet together as individual local bodies/communities of believers/Christians for the purposes of-

1. Glorifying, worshiping, serving, and praising GOD.

2. Preaching and teaching GOD’s Word.

3. Fulfilling the Great Commission (evangelism, baptism, and discipleship) as taught to us by Jesus Christ as recorded in the New Testament Gospel of Matthew chapter 28 verses 18-20- “And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.”

4. Promoting, fostering, and encouraging brotherly love and fellowship among the saints.

5. Providing for both the educational and social welfare needs (not to be confused with social justice) of its members and the society/community and its citizens that it each individual church is planted in.

6. Modeling Christ-like fruits of the spirit and Biblical morals and ethics within the community that it is planted in.

Twelve Marks of a Successful and Healthy Church

  2. A Proper Biblical Understanding, Perspective, and Passion for Evangelism
  3. A Proper Biblical Understanding and Perspective of Discipleship
  4. A Proper Biblical Understanding and Perspective of administering the sacraments, which are- the Lord's Supper and baptism
  5. A Proper Biblical Understanding and Perspective of Church Leadership
  6. A Proper Biblical Understanding and Perspective of Prayer and Prayer Teams
  7. A Proper Biblical Understanding and Perspective of Worship
  8. A Proper Biblical Understanding and Perspective of Church Generosity (Social Welfare).
  9. A Proper Biblical Understanding and Perspective of Promoting a Church Family Environment that Produces True Loving Fellowship Amongst the brethren
  10. A Proper Biblical Understanding and Perspective of Church Membership
  11. A Proper Biblical Understanding and Perspective of Church Discipline
  12. A Proper Biblical Understanding, Perspective, and Passion to Pursue Christ-like Holiness and Righteousness

Scripture support verses- Matthew 16:18-19; Acts 2:42-47, 14:23, 15:3-4, 20:28; Romans 12:4-5, 16:3-5; 1 Corinthians 4:17, 11:18, 12:12-31, 14:1-40; Ephesians 1:22, 5:23-32; Colossians 1:18; Revelation 1:20-3:22, 21:1-3.

  • Churches Liturgy-

The primary purpose of Sunday morning worship is for the corporate body of Christian believers, both as the global church and individual bodies of local community believers, to come together to worship GOD and fellowship with one another. It is not for the unsaved, nonbeliever.

But, we Christians are called to invite the unsaved, non-believers in our lives to participate in and observe the Sunday morning worship in hopes that they will be convicted by GOD’s Holy Spirit of their eternal spiritual death in sin and their need to repent of their sins, place their faith in Jesus Christ as their LORD and Savior, and thus want and desire to belong to their local church family and actively participate as fellow believers with us in the worshiping of GOD.

The church liturgy needs to be a deeply meaningful, spiritual, reflective, and meditative cooperate worship service that focuses on time spent with, and connecting to, our Creator- The LORD GOD All Mighty.

And, we are to do this in a meaningful way so that it helps give our lives and faith meaning and purpose by growing closer in our personal loving relationship with GOD the Father, through the Holy Spirit of His Son Jesus Christ, who died on the cross at Calvary, so that we may have atonement for our sins and a way into spending eternity in Heaven.

It is a time to be spent focusing on glorifying, worshiping, and praising GOD; feeding and renewing our minds, hearts and spirits; and fellow shipping with other brothers and sisters in Christ.

As Christians, we are called by Jesus Christ (as recorded in Matthew 28:18-21) to then go out into the world the following six days after Sunday morning worship and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the non-believers in both our actions and words, so that they may be compelled to come to cooperate worship on the Sabbath- Sunday- to see and experience worship happen, and thus be so convicted and drawn by the Holy Spirit to want this for not only their lives, but also for the lives of those around them.

Sin (Hamartiology)

We affirm, believe, and know to be true (as taught to us in GOD’s Word- the Holy Bible) that all mankind is born into original sin, under GOD’s judgment and wrath, and damned and condemned to spend eternity in Hell at the point of their physical bodily death here on Earth.

This is due to Adam and Eves first sin when they chose to listen to the lies of the devil and disobeyed GOD’s command to not eat of the fruit from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.

It was at this moment in time that Adam and Eve came to know good from evil, their own nakedness, and were banished by GOD from the Garden of Eden.

This is also known by/referred to as the Fall of Mankind.

We defined sin as-

Any deviation from, and does not measure up to, GOD's moral law, commandments and standards (as laid out/given to us in the five book of Moses/law/Torah/Pentateuch, outlined in the Ten Commandments, and summarized in the Great Commandment); and His will, desire, plans, intentions, purposes, and reasons for His creation.

Any attempt by a human to use their limited amount of freewill to overrule, override, supersede, usurp, and trump the providential sovereign will of GOD.

Any thought, feeling, emotion, word, action, attitude, and/or behavior that is not in harmony, alignment, and in sync with GOD's will and plan for your life.

Any thought, feeling, emotion, word, action, attitude, and/or behavior that violates, corrupts, and breaks GOD's laws and commandments for our lives.

Any thought, feeling, emotion, word, action, attitude, and/or behavior that somehow harms, hurts, and devalues our neighbor.

Any thought, feeling, emotion, word, action, attitude, behavior and/or conduct that is not in harmony, alignment, and in sync; and as well as, violates, breaks, and corrupts the Great Commandment taught to us by Jesus Christ to- “Love the Lord your GOD with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Sin is the self-centered, self-serving, selfish act of mankind putting distance between himself and GOD, and when we sin, we are telling GOD that we are our own god in control of our own lives because we know better than Him and what is best for us.

Scripture support verses- Genesis 3:1-24, 4:7; Exodus 20:5; Deuteronomy 24:16; 1 King 8:46; Jeremiah 31:30; Ezekiel 3:17-18; Mark 3:28-29; Romans 3:23, 5:8-9, 5:12, 6:2, 6:23, 7:13-25; 1 John 3:4-6, 5:16-17.

GOD’s Law (Nomosology)

We affirm, believe, and know to be true (as taught to us in GOD’s Word- the Holy Bible) that the O.T. moral laws still apply to the N.T. Christian church. Though we are saved by and under GOD’s grace and mercy, and not His O.T. moral laws; nevertheless, we are not to misuse and abuse GOD’s undeserved, unmerited, and unwarranted grace and mercy by willfully and willingly, intentionally and knowingly, violating, breaking, and corrupting GOD’s moral laws as recorded and taught in the five books of Moses- Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy, and summarized by Jesus Christ in the Great Commandment.

Scripture support verses- Genesis 1:28, 2:16-17; Exodus 15:25-26, 20:1-17; Deuteronomy 5:1-22, 31:9-12; Psalms 1:2, 19:7-8; Matthew 5:17-20, 22:37-40;  Mark 12:28-31; Luke 10:25-28; John 14:15, 14:21, 14:23-24, 14:31, 15:10, 15:14; Romans 2:12-29, 7:2-16.

Creation (Ginomaiology)

We affirm, believe, and know to be true (as taught to us in GOD’s Word- the Holy Bible) that GOD, through His spoken Word, created the universe and everything in it in six literal twenty-four-hour time periods known as days.

IEPCC teaches and adheres to the doctrine of Young Earth Creationism and firmly rejects, denies, and disputes the heresy of macro evolution in any, all and every form. Including theistic evolution/evolutionary theism.

Scripture support verses- Genesis chapters 1 and 2; Psalms 19:1, 33:6; Isaiah 40:26-28; John 1:1-3, 1:10; Romans 1:20; Colossians 1:16-17; Hebrews 11:3.

Mankind (Anthropology)

We affirm, believe, and know to be true (as taught to us in GOD’s Word- the Holy Bible and further supported and confirmed by nature and man-made science) that GOD created mankind in His own image, and exclusively with only two biological genders (male/XY chromosomes and female/XX chromosomes), on the six day of creation for the purposes of-

  • Glorifying GOD
  • Living in a relationship with/to GOD
  • Ruling over and subduing GOD’s creation
  • Procreating in order to fill up the Earth with the image of GOD, through us His image bearers, in order to bring glory to GOD

Scripture support verses- Genesis 1:26-28, 2:7, 2:21-25; Mark 10:6.

Gender

We affirm, believe, and know to be true (as taught to us in GOD’s Word- the Holy Bible) that GOD exclusively created only two biological genders- male/XY chromosomes and female/XX chromosomes. GOD’s Word, nature, and man-made science supports and confirms this for us.

Gender identity is determined by GOD Himself (as manifested, displayed, and demonstrated in our GOD created biological sexual human reproductive organs) and not by mans thoughts, feelings, beliefs, opinions, and emotions, nor by societal standards and norms. Since GOD exclusively created only two sexual human reproductive organs, and gender is determined by our GOD given sexual human reproductive organs, then that logically, rationally, and reasonably means/dictates that there are only two sexual human genders- male and female.

Furthermore, every human being who has been born, is currently being born, and will be born cannot come into being/existence and be born without a sexual interaction taken place and occurring exclusively between a biological father (man/male/XY chromosomes) and a biological mother (woman/female/XX chromosomes). As it is scientifically and biologically impossible for a human being to come into being/existence and be born in any other manner and/or fashion void of these two sexual human reproductive organs.

Scripture support verses- Genesis 1:26-28, 2:21-25; Mark 10:6-9.

We support, confirm, and have signed the- Danvers Statement.

The Sacraments (The Lord’s Supper and Baptism)

We affirm, believe, and know to be true (as taught to us in GOD’s Word- the Holy Bible) that-

  • Baptism- is strictly for the person who is of the age of conscious awareness and has made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ as their LORD and Savior. This is known as believers' baptism or credobaptism. This type/kind of baptism is done by full immersion in water and in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer's faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior; the believer's death to sin; the burial of the old life; and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus. It is a testimony to his faith in the final resurrection of the dead. Being a church ordinance, it is prerequisite to the privileges of church membership and to the Lord's Supper.

Scripture support verses- Matthew 3:13-16, 28:19; Mark 1:4-10, 16:16; Luke 3:21-22; John 4:1-2; Acts 2:41, 8:12, 8:36-38, 9:17-18, 10:46-48, 16:31-33, 18:8, 19:3-5, 22:14-16; Romans 6:3-4; 1 Corinthians 1:14-17.

  • The Lord’s Supper- is both a Holy Spirit encounter with, and memorial of, Christ’s sufferings on the cross, a celebration of our salvation, and the commemoration and proclamation of Jesus Christs death until He comes and should be always preceded by solemn self-examination. We also teach/believe that even though the elements of Communion, bread and wine/juice, are representative of the flesh/body and blood of Christ, participation in the LORD’s Supper is nevertheless an actual communion with the risen Christ, who indwells every believer, and so is spiritually present, fellow shipping with His people. Only those who have a saving faith in Jesus Christ are allowed to participate in the LORD’s Supper.

Scripture support verses- Matthew 26:26-30; Mark 14:22-26; Luke 22:14-20; John 13: 1 Corinthians 10:16-17, 10:21, 11:23-29.

The Spiritual nature and aspect of GOD’s creation- angels, Satan, and demons

We affirm, believe, and know to be true (as taught to us in GOD’s Word- the Holy Bible) that:

  • Angels- are spiritual beings created by GOD and are therefore not to be worshiped. Although they are a higher order of creation than man, they are created to serve GOD for the purpose of worshiping Him.

    Scripture support verses- Genesis 3:24; Numbers 22:22-31; Psalms 103:20, 148:2; Daniel 10:12-11:1; Matthew 1:20-25; Luke 1:26-38, 2:9-14; Ephesians 6:12; Hebrews 1:6-7, 1:13-14, 2:6-7; Revelation 5:11-14, 18:21, 22-6-8.

  • Satan and demons- Satan is a created angel and the author of sin. He incurred the judgment of GOD by rebelling against GOD, and in the process took numerous angels with him in his fall. He also introduced sin into the human race by his temptation of Eve. We teach that Satan is the open and declared enemy of GOD and man; that he is the prince of this world, who has been defeated through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ; and that he shall be eternally punished in the lake of fire.

Scripture support verses- Genesis 3:1-15; Isaiah 14:12-17; Ezekiel 28:11-19; Daniel 10:12-11:1; Matthew 4:1-11, 8:28-34, 12:24-30, 25:41; Mark 5:2-13; Luke 2:9-14, 4:33-36; Romans 16:20; Ephesians 6:12; Revelation 20:10.

End Times (Eschatology)

We affirm, believe, and know to be true (as taught to us in GOD’s Word- the Holy Bible) that there will be a second coming of Jesus Christ when He will judge all of mankind for our sins as foretold by Jesus Christ as recorded in the four Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John and the book of Revelation. Those who have repented of their sins and acknowledge/confess and place their faith in Jesus Christ as their LORD and Savior will have their names written in the Book of Life and enter into the eternal holy city of the New Jerusalem.

Those who did not repent of their sins and refused to acknowledge/confess and place their faith in Jesus Christ as their LORD and Savior, will be damned and condemned to spend eternity separated from GOD and His love in the eternal pit of Hell.

It will also be at this time when the old Heaven and Earth will be cast aside, and the new Heaven and Earth will be ushered in.

Scripture support verses- Matthew chapters 24 and 25; 2 Peter 3:3-13; The New Testament book of Revelation.

Sabbath (Sabbatonology)

We affirm, believe, and know to be true (as taught to us in GOD’s Word- the Holy Bible) that the first day of the week Sunday is the Lord’s Day or the Christian Sunday Sabbath. Itis meant to be kept sacred for religious purposes by the devout observance of all the means of grace, both private and public; and by preparation for that rest that remaineth for the people of GOD.

Though GOD’s Word teaches us that we do not have to adhere to the strict O.T. Jewish teachings about the Sabbath; nevertheless, we do not believe/teach that the LORD’s Day/Sunday Sabbath is meant to be a day engaged in financial commerce. Nowhere in the N.T. will you find Jesus Christ, nor the disciples, engaging in earning nor spending money. So therefore, we believe/teach that the LORD’s Day/Sunday Sabbath is meant to be set aside as a holy day for worship, rest, and time spent with the family.

Scripture support verses- Exodus 20:8-11; Matthew 12:1-12; 28:1ff.; Mark 2:27-28; 16:1-7; Luke 24:1-3, 33-36; John 4:21-24; 20:1, 19-28; Acts 20:7; Romans 14:5-10; 1 Corinthians 16:1-2; Col. 2:16; 3:16; Revelation 1:10.

Statement of Faith and Beliefs Part 3

International Evangelical Protestant Christian Coalition

Statement of Theological Doctrines, Faith, and Belief’s

(Or, otherwise can be referred to as- “What We Know to be the Ultimate and Absolute Truth.”)

Heaven and Hell

We affirm, believe, and know to be true (as taught to us in GOD’s Word- the Holy Bible) that there is an eternal afterlife after our temporary worldly lives and that every human being will either spend eternity in the presence of GOD, which GOD’s Word refers to as Heaven and the New Jerusalem. Or, separated from GOD and His love in the eternal pit of Hell, which is everlasting torment.

  • Heaven- is the future eternal home of believers/followers/disciples of Jesus Christ/children of GOD who have passed on from this temporary worldly life and enter into the holy presence of GOD. It is a place of total and complete holiness, love, joy, peace, happiness, and harmony. It is void of any and all types/kinds of mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual pain, suffering, turmoil, chaos, torment, anguish, distress, worry, sadness, disharmony, disunity, evil, wickedness, unrighteousness, death, and destruction. At the moment of Jesus Christs second coming when He will judge all mankind for our sins Heaven is brought down to Earth and replaced with the New Jerusalem, which will be Heaven on Earth.

Scripture support verses- 1 Kings 8:30; Matthew 7:13-14, 13:24-30, 13:31-32, 13:44-46, 13:47-48; 18:10, 25:1-13; John 14:2-3; Hebrews 9:24, 12:22-23; Revelation 21:1-2, 21:10-27.

  • Hell- is the future eternal dwelling of the wicked, unbelieving, and unrepentant reprobates who have passed on from this temporary worldly life and into eternal punishment, torment, suffering, and anguish for their sins against GOD and rejecting Jesus Christ as their LORD and Savior. It is a place void of any and all types/kinds of mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual holiness, love, joy, peace, serenity, happiness, and harmony.

Scripture support verses- Matthew 7:13-14, 8:12, 13:41-42, 13:49-50, 22:13, 25:30; Mark 9:43-44; Luke 16:23-26; 2 Thessalonians 1:9; 2 Peter 2:4; Revelation 14:10, 19:20, 20:10, 20:15, 21:8.

Marriage (Gameology)

We affirm, believe, know to be true, and teach that GOD’s Word clearly teaches us that marriage is exclusively meant to be between man/male (XY chromosomes) and woman/female (XX chromosomes) for the purpose of procreating and producing more image bearers of GOD in order to fill up the Earth with the image of GOD, through His created image bearers, in order to glorify GOD.

Scripture support verses- Genesis 1:26-28, 2:18-25; Exodus 20:12, 14, 17; Matthew 5:27-32, 19:3-9; 1 Corinthians 7:1-16; Ephesians 5:21-33; Colossians 3:12-19; Titus 2:3-5; Hebrews 13:4; 1 Peter 3:1-9.

We support, confirm, and have signed the- “Nashville Statement’s Coalition for Biblical Sexuality.”

Sanctity of Life

We affirm, believe, and know to be true (as taught to us in GOD’s Word- the Holy Bible) that GOD’s Word clearly teaches us that all human life (both born and unborn) is sacred and meant to be treasured and protected.

Therefore, any type/kind/form of intentional murder, which includes abortion and euthanasia, but excludes murdering a murderer (see Exodus 21:12-14), is a sinful abomination in the sight of GOD and is condemned by GOD.

Scripture support verses- Exodus 20:13; Numbers 35:30; Deuteronomy 5:17, 12:31; Psalms 139:13-16; Luke 18:15-17.

Social Justice Debate

In regards to the recent conversation and in house debate about the church and social justice I believe that it is the Christian churches responsibility to both evangelize the Gospel and preach GOD’s Word to those are lost/dead in their sins, while at the same time obeying GOD’s command to provide for the social welfare needs of the community that the church is planted in.

But, we strongly oppose any attempts made that suggest that GOD’s Word teaches the following false/heretical theological doctrines, man-made philosophies, and political ideologies of- global warming/climate change, radical feminism, black liberation theology, intersectionality, Critical Race Theory, Critical Gender Theory, Queer Theory, socialism, Marxism, communism, etc.- and that we Christians are to apply those Scripture verses/texts/passages about taking care to the poor, widowed, downtrodden, etc. within the church to the secular government.

We support, confirm, and have signed the- “The Statement on Social Justice and the Gospel.”

Scripture support verses- Galatians 1:6-9; 1 Timothy 6:3-5, 2 Timothy 4:3-4; 2 Peter 2:1-2.
